Introduction to Media: Media consumption audit


Newspapers
  • Which daily newspapers (if any) do you read?
I mainly read the "Mirrors" newspaper because "Mirrors" newspapers have many images which intrigues me even more rather than seeing big blocks of texts only. I am rather intrigued to see more images as well as texts as it helps me to understand more and doesn't bore me out. 
  • What sections of newspapers do you turn to first, and why?
When I open up a newspaper, I straight away go onto the sport section where it has new information about football. I turn to the sport section first because I am a football fan and I would like to know what is going on within the sport "Football". 
  • What sections do you never read, and why?
Within the sections on the newspaper, I never read the politics side because I feel like there too many words and texts for me to read and I am not a big fan of reading. Although I am quite intrigued by politics, I don't read it on the newspapers as it has too many texts and goes into too much depth. 
  • What kinds of stories do you usually read and why?
I read stories such as hysterical as it amuses me. I would like to know about the history. 
  • Do you, or someone else, buy the newspaper you read?
My dad buy the newspapers. 
  • Do you look at the online versions of any newspapers? Which newspapers? Why do you visit their website and not others?
I do not visit any websites for newspapers.

I don't buy newspapers. My dad does. 
  • What sections of the magazines do you read and not read, and why?
I read the sport and do not read politics.

2 hours, I mainly go on my phone or Laptop.

I like animal planet and any other entertaining shows.

I mainly watch alone

I access YouTube as I can watch videos of my favourite YouTubers and it will satisfy me.

  • How can you develop the amount and variety of media you consume?
I can access internet more and I can consume more media with Internet. Or I can buy newspapers to read news and more political news. 
  • What will you change in your media consumption habits this year as a result of studying A Level Media?
I will read more newspapers and watch more movies to analyse any aspects.
