5) What is the main problem for the British film industry?
The main problem for the British film industry is that everytime when a British film is produced, the film makers will need to sell their film to a distribution company which is sacrificing the distribution rights. When the movie is released into the mainstream, the overall revenue made will be lost and won't be reinvested back into the British film.

6) What are three of the strengths of the British film industry?
The three strengths of the British film industry are;
  • every British films take 5% of the world box-office takings which is significant for a small nation that is trying to become popular with its film productions.
  • they have outstanding facilities such as camera companies and post production houses which all attract many film makers in the UK but especially in the USA.
  • they have many talented practitioners that are capable of creating wonderful and professional movies that will bound to be successful.

7) What are the two options for the future of the British film industry?
The British film industry don't have film making institution that can help them with the financing of production, distribution and exhibition. So the option would be for them to rely upon a co-production company in America but this would be involve drawbacks for the British film industry.
Their second option would be for the British film industry to start creating low-budget films so that the production of the film would cost little. But however, there are still drawbacks with how the low budget film is likely to make low profit too once its exhibited.
8) In your opinion, which of these two options would best safeguard the future of the British film industry?
In my opinion, I think the second option is a better option for the British film industry because making a low-budget film is cheaper with production but however, when exhibiting the film, it is not entirely certain that the movie won't be as successful to make higher profit than their budget. It depends on how good the movie is.
