2) What view of capitalist ideology is presented in the Hunger Games films?
Capitalism is an economic system based on private ownership of the means of production and their operation for profit. In the Hunger Games context, it is talking about a dystopian society in post-apocalyptic America where people are suffering with poverty, not enough food and are suffering with little wages. Also, the low class poor people are working to provide services to the Capital city which is called the "Capitol". Moreover, young children between the ages of 11-18 are forced to go play a game called "The Hunger Games" which they kill one another until the last remains which is like a conflict in real life. Furthermore, the rich people control the poor people, forcing them to work in each district. The capitalist ideology presented in this Hunger Games context is that the Rich people are greater as they "keep the poor under control". In this dystopian society in the movie Hunger Games, the "peacekeepers" are the people who control the lower class people in doing work and providing food, technology and other services to the Capitol.
